Swing Big, Build Bigger: The Habitat El Paso Topgolf Fundraiser
The Habitat El Paso Topgolf fundraiser is back for a fourth year, and it lands on Saturday, August 22, 2026. If you have wanted to help build affordable housing but never had a spare weekend, this is your way in. You do not need golf skills. Also, you do not need a hard hat. Basically, you need a bay, a few people you like, and one Saturday morning. So here is the whole picture: the schedule, the sponsorship levels, and what your ticket actually pays for.
The Habitat El Paso Topgolf Fundraiser, in short
Why a nonprofit golf fundraiser fits a housing mission
Of course, a house costs money before it costs labor. Land, permits, lumber, and a slab all come first. So a golf morning is not a detour from the work — it is how the work gets paid for. Habitat for Humanity International sets the affiliate standards we build under, and local fundraising sits at the center of that model. Above all, every dollar we raise on August 22 stays here in El Paso County.
Also, the format matters. A morning in a bay gives us a simple scoring system and a start time of 8:30 AM. So your group stays together from the first swing to the last. In fact, the Topgolf scoring format makes beginners competitive, which is the part first-timers tell us they do not expect.
There is a second reason. A build site can only hold so many volunteers on a given Saturday. By contrast, a bay can hold a whole office, a whole family, or a whole church group at once. That is why we treat this as a nonprofit golf fundraiser first and a golf outing second. Notably, some of the people we meet in a bay show up on a build site a few months later.

What the morning looks like
Doors open at 8:30 AM, and the shape of the morning is easy to picture. Next, you arrive, you find your people, and you hit golf balls at targets for a couple of hours. Then you go home. Here is the run of it:
- Check in. First, give your name, pick up your bay assignment, and meet the rest of your group.
- Warm up. Then take a few swings before the scoring starts. Nobody is watching your form.
- Play. The scoring format puts every skill level in the same game, so the bay stays loud.
- Wrap up. Finally, we recognize our sponsors and teams, and you still have your whole afternoon.
Bring your group and comfortable shoes. If you would rather swing your own clubs, bring those too. Otherwise, show up with nothing but a good attitude.
You do not have to lift a hammer — or swing well
You don't have to lift a hammer to help. Also, we say that about our resale store all year, and it is just as true here. A Topgolf charity event El Paso companies can finish before lunch removes the two things people tell us hold them back: the skill and the whole-day commitment.
Of course, some folks still hesitate because they have never swung a club. That is fine. Indeed, the scoring rewards getting close rather than getting perfect, and the event is built for all skill levels. Meanwhile, the experienced players in our bays still tell us it is a real game.
Also, August fills up fast with El Paso community events. If you are already mapping out the month, our El Paso County Fair guide covers another one worth a spot on the calendar.
Where your Habitat El Paso Topgolf fundraiser ticket goes
Two places: new homes and critical repairs. So far, we have built 67 homes and served 1,200 families in El Paso County. Also, each year we complete 32 home repairs and renovations, and volunteers give us about 2,500 hours.
Our homes are sold at cost on a no-interest, 30-year fixed mortgage, and each family puts in 300 to 400 sweat equity hours. That is a hand up. To qualify, a family lives at or below the area median income — a line drawn by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development — with a debt-to-income ratio under 40 percent.
By contrast, the repair side does different work. It keeps people in the homes they already own, including repairs for El Paso veterans through our Veteran's Build program. Likewise, our resale store carries the same load year-round. Shop the Habitat ReStore and the proceeds come straight back to builds and repairs.
Sponsorship levels for businesses and teams
Several sponsorship levels are open, and each one comes with recognition at the event and in our promotional materials. A sponsorship books your bay, puts your name in front of the room, and gives your team a reason to show up together on a Saturday.
If you have to route this past a manager, this is the section to forward. It has the date, the venue, the cause, and the recognition in one place. We publish this three weeks out on purpose, so there is still runway to route a sponsorship through your approvals.
How to RSVP for the Habitat El Paso Topgolf fundraiser
First, decide how you are coming: solo, with a team, or as a sponsor. Next, call us at 915-755-6633 and tell us your group size. Then we confirm your bay and send you what you need before the 22nd.
Our office sits at 8500 Dyer Ste. 82, El Paso, TX 79904, and you are welcome to stop in. You can also see whats coming up on our events page, since this is not the only date on our calendar.
Topgolf fundraiser details →Which way in fits you best
There are four ways to be part of this, and none of them require construction experience. Pick the one that matches your Saturday:
- Coming solo? Then tell us, and we will place you in a bay with other individual players.
- Bringing a team? Book together so your people stay in one bay instead of scattered.
- Sponsoring as a business? Pick a level and get your name in front of the room.
- Busy that Saturday? Then donate goods to the store, or ask us about a pickup on your street.
Ultimately, all four routes end in the same place: materials on a job site and keys in somebody's hand. Some of our volunteers started with one Saturday and stayed for years.
