Team Up for Habitat! Help us deconstruct a bowling alley JULY 14 -17.
Thanks to the support of the United States Bowling Congress, Habitat for Humanity El Paso is the recipient of tons of material used to transform the event center, Judson Williams Center, into a 62 lane competitive bowling venue. For four months visitors from across the US have come to El Paso and the event center to take part in the “USBC” Team Competition. Our final thank you is to “deconstruct”so we can“reconstruct”.
All volunteers interested in participating must be a minimum of 16 years old, willing to commit to at least one entire shift and ready for physical work. We encourage you and your organization to build a team, but individual volunteers are always welcome. We will assign you to a team.
Our goal is to have a minimum of two teams per time period each day or a total of 24 teams. We know it is a challenge to schedule times during a work week; we encourage employers and our partners to be flexible.
What do we need?
1. 24 teams of 10-25 people (6 teams per day, 2 teams per shift)
Hours are: (1) 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. (2) 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (3) 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
2. Supervisor and 2 leaders per team
3.Teams should bring hammers, crowbars, drills, (corded preferred), gloves, safety glasses, & proper dress.
