Habitat in El Paso was established in 1989. It has since built over 60 homes; rehabbed 18 houses and is making repairs to several more that have placed eligible low-income families in our homeowner program…the key to breaking the cycle of poverty for many. Geronimo Garcia, Executive Director
Involved with the local affiliate for 9 years, Geronimo volunteered on the Board of Directors of Habitat El Paso and also served as Board President for 3 Years. In 2014 he stepped in to fill the role of Executive Director when the prior director retired.

Jennifer Lopez, Administrative Assistant
Jennifer has a passion for helping people in need. She was born and raised in El Paso, and is aware of the need her fellow El Pasoans have for a decent home.

Ignacio Alarcon, Construction Supervisor
Ignacio is a Marine Vietnam Veteran and has also served as a police officer with EPPD. He has a background as a carpenters apprentice and a degree in Architecture. He has worked as a construction volunteer with other organizations including Habitat for Humanity in San Antonio. His experience with construction and educating volunteers on project sites is great asset to our affiliate.

Kim Weaver, Accountant
Kim has worked with Habitat El Paso for 3 years in the role of Accountant and book-keeper as well as helping in audits and compliance requirements for the affiliate.

2016 Board of Directors
El Paso's Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors volunteer their time and expertise to further our mission to eliminate substandard housing in El Paso County. The El Paso Affiliate and the Board of Directors operates independently of Habitat for Humanity International and in accordance with its own set of bylaws.
